  • By default, the assessment is set to "Deactivated," meaning that students can access the assessment module but cannot launch or take the test until you grant them permission. Keeping the test deactivated ensures that students cannot take the test but can still preview the test requirements, the badge they can earn, and any resources (such as study guides, vocabulary lists, activities, etc.) you’ve shared to help them prepare.

Note: The process for sharing resources with students is outlined below.

  • When you’re ready for students to take the test, you can activate it by selecting the "Test Status" toggle, which will change from gray to bright when activated. You can also activate or deactivate the test for individual students or groups. This feature is useful for cases where students are absent or not yet ready to take the test and should not have access until they are prepared.
  • Log in to FocalPoint Access Cloud as a teacher.
  • On the left side of the page, under the "Learning Tree" menu, click on the "Instruct". Then, select the Course Community and choose the course and find Learning section.

  • Flip the switch next to the quiz to publish the test. Once published, students will be able to access the quiz in their Assessments.
  • Click the three dots next to the test and select "Progress." and activate the test status.

  • Under the Assessment Details, in the Activity Progress section, you have the option to activate the quiz.

  • To control student access to the quiz, activate or deactivate the test for an individual student by navigating to their profile. In the test status section, you can toggle the test on or off.
